Q:
Our team does not charge victim’s families or agencies for our investigative services. We are comprised solely of volunteers who conduct investigations in their free time.
Q:
We do not have set requirements for accepting a case and will review every case submitted to us for consideration. However, we have to analyze each case under the assumption that the investigating agency will not provide our team their case file. Therefore, cases are prioritized based on several solvability factors, including age of the case, ability to re-interview witnesses and persons of interest, ability to apply behavioral analysis to the actions of the killer and cooperation of agency assigned to the case. The one document our team requires to investigate a case is the victim’s autopsy report. Note that we do not investigate cases that are considered to be high profile or which have been ruled a suicide.
Q:
We believe in empowering donors and allow them to choose where they want to apply their donation. We provide a reward fund for each victim’s case we investigate. Donors may choose to apply their donation to a particular victim’s reward fund or to assist the team with travel and resource expenses. If an arrest is made and a reward fund does not need to be paid out, donors may receive a refund on their donation or can choose to apply their donation to another fund.
